I've used Blast tech for a couple things.  A couple years ago, i had then blast and entire Corvair, the '65 I had.  That job ran approx $900.

More recently (last month), I had them media blast all of the tins on my engine, for the '67.  13 pieces in all, the Blast Tech charge was $55 (for everything), and the powerder coating of those 13 parts , in a couple colors with TaintPaint was $300.  I thought the prices were very reasonable, compared to some others I had checked out, but the TaintPaint folks came with a recommendation from Steve and others in the RMC who had work done, and I was not disappointed.

Garrie and all:  Taint Paint in C/Springs is a powder coater.  They use Blast tech in Denver and the two work together.  The price depends upon the size and the difficulty, probably they will need to see the parts to give a price.  Taint Paint advertises in the RMC newsletter (DENVAIR NEWS).

Best, Steve

Has anyone used a media blasting company to prepare a Corvair for painting?

If so, did it work well and how expensive might you estimate it to be?
