[PPCC] PPCC May Meeting, Fishing Cruise and Club Picnic - Monument Lake, Monument, CO

A reminder that our May meeting of the Pikes Peak Corvair Club is scheduled
for this coming Sunday, May 17th @ 11:00am

This month's meeting is in conjunction with the Fishing Cruise and Club
Picnic.  We'll be meeting at Monument Lake in Monument, CO (See Directions
Below).  Look for the PPCC banner when you pull into the lake area.  Please
drive your Corvair if you can so we can get a nice picture of all of the
cars next to the lake.

Schedule of events:
*	As early as 7:00am, come on out and drop a line in the lake and do
some fishing with the kids, grandkids, wives, husbands, whoever!  Make sure
you have your fishing license on hand.  For folks 64 and older, the annual
license is $1 (plus the mandatory $10 habitat fee).  you can get a license
at WalMart, Cabellas, or Bass Pro Shops.
*	Around 11:00, we'll fire up the grill and while that's getting hot,
we'll have a quick meeting.
*	Around 11:30, Lunch, we can all enjoy some hot dogs and burgers
(provided by the club).  Please bring chips or sodas and that will round out
the festivities.
This is intended to be a fun, relaxing event to get folks out and about
after a long winter, which seems to have extended itself with the past
week's rain.  The weather should be nice, so come on out and get some fresh
air!!

*I'd recommend bring a lawn chair, just in case :)
Directions to the lake, from both Colorado Springs and the Denver:
 
1.  From Colorado Springs head North on I-25.  From Denver, head South on
I-25:
2.  Take the CO-105 exit, EXIT 161, toward Palmer Lake/Monument/WOODMOOR DR.
3.  Turn onto W Highway 105/CO-105. (0.3 mi)
4.  Stay straight to go onto 2nd St. (0.7 mi)
5.  Turn left onto Mitchell Ave (this is the end of the road at a "T". (0.5
mi)
6.  Take the 1st right into the Monument Lake entrance.  Look for "PPCC"
banners. (0.1 mi)
