[PPCC] Tri-State Travels

Greetings,
I am starting to plan my trip to the Tri-State and several people have asked
about driving together from Colorado Springs (or nearby) to Durango.  There
are several routes but I'm considering making my way to Poncha Springs (via
Hwy 24 & 285) and on to Montrose via HWY 50 and then south to Durango.  This
is about 350 miles and seven hours through Monarch pass and very scenic.
Patricia Fox says there is a great spot near Blue Mesa for Corvair photos.
I believe some are driving out on Thursday and some on Friday but I hope we
can organize group travel for moral support.  I am open to other routes and
would like to hear from you (and RMC) about your travel plans.
