Hello To The RMC Crew and the PPCC Bunch!
Steve: please pass this email through the RMC list distro as it has directions/maps attached - Thanks

Below are the details for the upcoming Fall Cruise out to Buena Vista on Sunday, October 4th.
Lunch meet-up is planned for 11:30am at the Eddyline Restaurant at 926 South Main in Buena Vista.
We've secured a reservation for 30, and with that number of folks, they did not ask us to confirm an abbreviated menu.  That's a good thing because the menu has a bunch of stuff I'd like to try, with Wood Fired Pizzas, Burgers, Sandwiches, and a diverse selection of gluten-free items.  Prices are reasonable and the food gets positive reviews.  The following link is to the full menu:  http://eddylinerestaurant.com/menu So, folks can order what they want, and according to the manager, it will take about the same amount of time to prepare the food.  All they ask is that we cap the visit at 2 hours so they can turn the tables over, so we'll be done with lunch by 1:30pm, and ready for the drive back home.I've attached maps top this email with directions from Denver, going out 285, and from Colorado Springs running the 24W route.  Please take a look at your respective drive times to ensure you're in Buena Vista NLT 11:15am so we can all go into the restaurant as a group.
Looking to set up two groups who might want to caravan out from a northern and southern location.  The PPCC usually kicks off their drives from the Rudy's BBQ joint on 24, and would need to head out from that parking lot approx 9:30am.  Anyone from the PPCC want to head up that effort?.
For the northern route (Denver area), would meeting up in the town of Morrison, at the Conoco station right off of the C470 exit for a 9:00am take off time work for folks?
I'll share all of this info again at the next Club meeting (Friday, 2 October) to catch folks who may not be on email.
Please plan on attending this event, for one last run of the cars while the leaves are still changing!

Hello To The RMC Crew!
For those folks unable to attend the annual PPCC Aspen Tour, which was scheduled for a Saturday this year (9/26/15), Mr Goodman asked if I would help to put together and additional run into the mountains, to enjoy the fall foliage and some good company with friends over lunch.
We're looking at a date of Sunday, October 4th.  The final destination for lunch is still being worked out, but looking at the beautiful town of Buena Vista, which would be a 2 hour drive from the Golden area.  A nice long drive on the open road to get the Corvairs out for one last ride through the mountains before the cold weather sets in here in Colorado.
So, even if you plan on participating in the PPCC drive next Saturday, the 26th, this event serves to accommodate those Saturday workers and Corvair enthusiasts who would just like to get another ride under their belt before packing the car away for the winter, or to test drive it before making the trip out to Palm Springs for the Fan Belt Toss at the end of October.
Specifics, and a request for general headcount to follow shortly via this email distro.  If you have any questions, please fell free to reach out to me @ halpin.corvair at comcast.net
See you all on the road,
Ed
