Hello All PPCC Members,

Below is the registration info for the yearly Castle Rock Car Show. Last year, we had 4 Corvairs in the show (my '64, Kelina's '60, Chris Kimberly's '64, and the Feasel's van, "Lulu") This year, we'd like to see a higher level of rear engine representation, so plan on getting your cars cleaned up, register for this event, and be ready to have some fun. As a group of Corvairs, we'd like to park together so more to follow. If your one of the many folks in the Club that only brings your car out for Tri-State, well, keep it out of the garage for another couple weeks after you get back from Montrose and give the folks something to see. Mustangs, Camaros, TransAms, and Chevelles are a dime a dozen at these shows, but the Corvairs are the ones that get all of the chatter.

See you there!

Subject: The Eighth Annual Classic Rock Cruise In, in Castle Rock

The Eighth Annual Classic Rock Cruise In will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016, from 10am to 3pm in historic Downtown Castle Rock, Colorado. Last year we had a great time with over 300 cars and trucks and great weather. Check out our show flyer at ClassicRockCruiseIn.com

We are pleased to announce that we have made several changes that will improve your experience as an entrant:

Parking – as our show has grown we have struggled to get everyone parked as quickly as possible. This year we will pre-stage all cars on Jerry Street, west of the County Building. Cars will all enter from the south at the intersection of Jerry and 3 rd St. You will be able to sit in line without having to idle your vehicle and risk overheating. We can accommodate about 90 cars at a time in several lines. Once the show area is open we will park cars in the order they arrived, one line at a time. Check out the map of the new staging area and entry point on our website.

Judging – based on your feedback we are returning to using judges, rather than entrants, to determine trophy winners.

There are several ways to register your vehicle:

Online at ClassicRockCruiseIn.com – go to the website, enter your

information into a simple form and use your credit card to pay the $20 Pre-Registration entry fee over our secure PayPal system. No credit card information is shown to Club personnel. Online registration will close by 6:00 pm on Wednesday, June 15, or sooner if we sell out.

By Mail - print out an Event Registration Form from our website and mail it with your $20 Pre-Registration fee to Vintage Car Club, 414 Wilcox St., Castle Rock, CO 80104. Your entry form and fee must be received by Wednesday June 15. Please make checks payable to Vintage Car Club.

In person – drop off this form and your $20 Pre-Registration entry fee at 1 Stop Tire and Auto Service, 414 Wilcox St in Castle Rock, Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. In person pre-registration will close at 5:30 pm on Wednesday June 15. Or you can register at the Cruise In Street Party on Friday night June 17. Cash or check only.

Day of Show – due to the popularity of this event, we honestly believe that we will sellout prior to the Day of Show. Please consider pre-registration to avoid disappointment. If there is space available on Saturday, the entry fee will be $25, payable by check or cash only. Again, we cannot guarantee that you will get in. Last year we had a full house. If we sell out prior to the show we will post a notice on our website, ClassicRockCruiseIn.com and on our Facebook page, Vintage Car Club of Castle Rock.

Once you pre-register we will send you an email that will confirm your entry and will provide you with an entry number that will help you get parked with minimal delay.

Feel free to contact our Registrar, Kirk Sinn, by email with any questions at Registration at ClassicRockCruiseIn.com

Important information for entrants:

    *

For the safety of our participants and the public, once you enter the Show Area you will not be allowed to exit until the show ends at 3:00 pm. If you have a bona fide emergency prior to 3:00 pm contact a Castle Rock Police Officer to assist you in leaving the area. If you attempt to leave the area on your own you will be ticketed. The VCC and the Police Department have an evacuation plan in place in case of dangerous weather.
    *

Vehicles must leave the Show Area, or be moved to an established parking spot, no later than 4:00 pm
    *

Burnouts at the conclusion of the show will not be permitted.
    *

No tents or signs shall be placed in a way that would block access to any business.
