Ok Team, I've got John & Kathy Green, Chris Kimberly, and myself down for volunteers so far Randy Karl will be out of town for the show but is asking Ray Schick to bring his car to the event, so we've got local 5 cars so far, but would like to have 10. Come on, nothing else is happening in the Club on Sunday, so get the cars out and join us for some fun in Old Colorado City!
Come out and see why the Pikes Peak Corvair Club was voted "Best Corvair Club in Colorado Springs" for the past 5 years straight!
We need your support, s o, bringing the below note up to the top of the page for increased visibility :)
-----------------------
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: As a host club we are also looking for volunteers to help park and judge cars, along with other miscellaneous chores. While the show runs from 9am to 3pm, your commitment will only be a couple of hours, starting around 5:30am. Please let me know directly by Friday, 8/19 if you are willing to help. Yes, you can enter/show your car and volunteer.
There will be coffee and doughnuts available (free to volunteers) in the am, and bottled water during the day. The host clubs arrive about 5:30 am. The PPCC will park next to the Co Cruizers in front of the park and along the east side of the park. We can use help with parking and judging. We will be having a thank you dinner sometime in September, which will be free for the volunteers (cost of family members will be their own responsibility).

Subject: Annual Good Times Car Show, Old Colorado City - Register Today!!
Hello PPCC Crew,
The Good Times Car Show is approaching fast, this coming Sunday, August 21st .
As you all know, PPCC is once again a co-host for this year's event, along with Colorado Cruizers, Rocky Mountain Mustangers and Southern Colorado Mopars. Proceeds from this event benefit Canine Companions for Independence, Inc.
2016 will be the 25th, and last year for this local event, as the costs associated with conducting the show have now become prohibitive.
As co-hosts of the show, and champions of the car collector hobby, we are encouraging every local PPCC member to bring out their Corvair and join the fun. We would love to see members participate who have not yet gotten their car out to an event this year. We had a solid turnout of cars and volunteers last year, and had a great time doing it, so come on, you have nothing else to do this Sunday!
Follow the enclosed link to register for the show as soon as possible: http://goodtimescarshow.com/index.html
When: Sunday, August 21st, 2016
Where: Old Colorado City and Bancroft Park, West Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado
*Once you register, please send me a quick note that you'll be coming so we can reserve an appropriate amount of spaces for the Club - Thanks.
