Ok all of you retirees in the Club, and those who just want a day off to look at cars!
One of the benefits that the Club enjoys as a member club of the Collector Car Council of Colorado (CCCC) is the opportunity to join in on special events and tours of some of the local restoration facilities and car collections.
Please take a look at the note below from Dick Thompson, President of the CCCC inviting the Club members to join in on a visit to the Cussler Museum.
If interested, let dick know directly (his email is listed below) and enjoy!

For those who have not been to the Cussler Museum in a while. Their web site is at www.cusslermuseum.com .
Clive Cussler is the author of more than 50 books. Quite a few of them are about Dirk Pitt (kind of a James Bond guy) and feature a really cool car. Clive owns the cool cars he has Dirk drive and has a museum in Arvada for his collection of some really over the top cool cars. There are over 70 cars on display at any time and they rotate the display so you will not see all the same cars each time you go. To see some examples of the cars, you need to go to the web site or read one of his books.
The Museum is only open to the public Monday thru Thursday during the summer. However, they do open up for car clubs once per month on a Saturday. The date they will open for the Collector Car Council of Colorado is Saturday 9/24/16. Admission is $10 for Adults, $8 for Seniors (+65) and $5 for Children under 12. They need a minimum of 20 folks to open for the day. And a maximum of 130 per the fire Marshall. So if we do not get 20 folks then the tour is cancelled and if we get more than 130 it is going to be first come first served for clubs to attend.
The Museum is located at 14959 W 69th Ave, Arvada, Co. 80007. They are only open 10 to noon on Saturdays!!
Found a good place kind of close by for chicken dinners. Wishbone Restaurant. 9701 Federal Blvd, Westminster, CO 80260. It can really get busy so you will need to make reservations for lunch. (303) 465-6204. or you can pick your own place in Arvada area for club lunch.
So - I need a head count for the tour. No later than Sept 16.
RSVP to Dick Thompson at thompson660 at cs.com .
Dick
