Demise of the cut away corvair

This story is indeed unfortunate and it is great that nobody was hurt.
"It had in fact made it home from Palm Springs, however, during the course of moving cars around his yard with a forklift, one of the cars got off balance, and fell down off of the lift, right onto the Cut-Away, crushing it, and closing out a chapter of PPCC history forever."


I would like to know a bit more before we abandon it forever.
Do pics or what they say is the extent of damage eliminate using the total rear suspension with drive line as a display here?The display at the old Richmond VA CORSA museum drew lots of people every time that it was open  I have pics of theirs from a 1999 visit. Regards, Garrie Fox
