One last follow-up on the Cut Away Car - In working with the President of the Cactus Club and the CORSA Corvair Preservation Foundation (CPF), we believe we've come up with a resolution which will present a positive outcome for all involved.  More to follow as details are worked out, but I'll provide an update during the next Club meeting(s), for those who are interested.

Just got off the phone with the fellow who posted the craigslist ad, which has since been removed. He's a real nice guy who obviously Got hoodwinked into a shady deal with the former president of the cactus club, John Seeman. Apparently John thought that the car was his personal property and has such sold it as a piece of property to this new Club member, and so the story goes. I told the fellow I was sorry for his situation, and we'll  just leave it alone. Not his fault. 

The current president of the cactus club reached out and responded on Facebook, and he mentioned that they were unaware of the background on this as the cactus club had actually voted down ownership of the car back when seaman came and got it, of course that bit of information was never shared with me, or anyone in the club. 

I feel bad now that the guy out in Arizona feels like he has a white elephant that he can't do anything with, can't sell, and doesn't want to hang onto. I'm sure a lot of work itself out over there. Will stand down on the sand, but wanted to share with you all at least conversation that I had

Yes, we were obviously lied to by the President of the Cactus Club, and there is a lively, on going discussion about the deceit on Facebook Corvair Owners Group page right now.  Being lied to by a CORSA Chapter officer, right to my face, does not sit well.

>From the article which was posted in the December PPCC newsletter, I shared everything I was told about the car being crushed.  From what happened with the Greens, and their purchase of a less than advertised Lakewood, we already knew John Seaman was not an honorable man.  This just confirms it.  I've sent a note over to the Cactus Club folks, but would encourage everyone from the club to also call or email than and see who knows what and let them know that this club is not happy about the situation.
