Hello All,
Attached is a picture of the business card I picked up from where I had the 4-point alignment done on the '67 sedan last week.
Platte Avenue Tire and Automotive came highly recommended by folks in the Club, as well as local mechanics in the Springs who do not do Corvair alignments.
Happy to say, I wasn't disappointed with the visit, or their work. They've got a bunch of "old school" mechanics there, and the guy who does the alignments, "Gene", has all of the Corvair specs available for setting the car up for either road use, or cornering (old papers on an even older clipboard).
He said that both early and late models are welcome, so, if you need an alignment, in the springs area, give them a call, make an appointment and let them know that I too recommended them.
Oh, for pricing, it was $69.99 out the door. I felt like that was a pretty good deal, considering most won't touch the cars, and those who do, don't seem to know what they're doing, but will take your money anyway.
Happy motoring!
Ed Halpin
