Hi Everyone,

Just a little information on the car show out in Keenesburg on Saturday..... The staging for the show begins at 8 a.m. since there will be LOTS of cars and wheeled vehicles at this show, we will be leaving Castle Rock at 6:30 a.m. We will be meeting at the Home Depot at the Hwy 25/Founders Parkway exit. Two lanes will turn right and you want to be in the left side of those two lanes. As you turn right swing into the left turn lane. Home Depot is behind the gas station. We will be traveling up 25 and exiting at the Bellevue exit and going to the McDonalds there to pick up a few more folks around 6:45 a.m. Then we will travel up Hwy 25 to Hwy 76 on out to Keenesburg. We will go all the way into Hudson and exit off onto highway 52 to Co Rd 53. Turn right and down to the Sanctuary, (2999 Co Rd 53). The show begins at 10 and goes til 7 pm. There is no registration fee. If anyone want to leave early, that is not a problem. Food vendors, live music, beverages, and custom t-shirts are available out in the show area. Bring your chairs, and sunscreen! ( a reminder that if you are using a GPS unit that tells you to exit Hwy 76 onto Bromely Lane, please don't. This way is a dirt road and has many bumps and holes).

If you do not want to drive up there early and want to join us later, please let Ed or I know , so we can hold a space open for you and your car.

Also a reminder that they will be charging admission to the Sanctuary to see the animals of $30 per person. If you haven't been there before, the walkway above the animals is a mile long and from there you might see the animals feeding, and see them in a very large open habitat.

This event is a fundraiser for the Sanctuary to continue support for these rescued animals.

Any question????? Just ask and I'll see you all out there on Saturday!!

Keep Vairing,

Chris

Hello Fellow RMCers,

As called out during our last meeting, the below car show up in Keenesburg is a major fund raiser for the sanctuary, and there promises to be a lot of cars, bikes, trucks, and anything else with wheels on site.

There will be several folks making the trip from the Springs, Castle Rock, and Centennial area, so let me know if you want to join the caravan and we can all head in together.

Looking to leave the Castle Rock area around 6:30am.

Ed Halpin

Subject: [PPCC] Wildlife Sanctuary car show

Hi Everyone,

The Wildlife Sanctuary Car show is this Saturday out in Keenesburg. The car show is free, out in the parking area, and prizes are being given out in various people's choice categories. Food vendors are to be there as well as live music.

I called to check on admission to the sanctuary itself for those of us bringing cars, and the admission price is $30 to walk the 1 mile long overhead walkway to view the animals.....lions, tigers, bears, wolves, etc., that have been rescued and are now living better lives. The car show is from 10-4, but those who need to leave early can do so with no problem. Staging begins at 8 am. From Castle Rock, the drive out is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, barring no traffic problems.

Anyone interested in caravanning, we can set up a couple stops , so we can all enter the show together as a group. Please let me know if you are planning to come and if you are interested in caravanning there, so we can set everything up. Thanks.

Happy Vairing!!

Chris
