Subject: The Tenth Annual Classic Rock Cruise In, Castle Rock, CO

The Tenth Annual Classic Rock Cruise In will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 10am to 3pm in historic Downtown Castle Rock, Colorado. Last year we hosted over 300 cars, trucks and specialty vehicles. Check out our show flyer at classicrockcruisein.com<http://www.classicrockcruisein.com/>.

Based on your feedback we have realigned many of our car and truck classes to better match the age and type of cars that you are bringing to the show. As a result we will hand out 51 trophies in 22 classes, including our traditional awards such as Castle Rock’s Mayor’s Choice, Hottest Car (picked by the Fire Chief), Most Likely to Get Pulled Over (picked by the Police Chief), and Best of Show. There are lots of classes and trophies to increase your chances. Class trophy winners will be chosen by a panel of experienced judges.

The improvements we made last year to our parking process were well received, so we will once again have you enter at the southwest corner of the Show Area, at 3rd and Jerry Street. You will receive detailed information on how and where to enter the Show Area when you pre-register.

This year you will be able to enjoy the newly expanded Festival Park located on Second Street between Wilcox Street and Perry Street. Also, we have invited back last year’s Cruise In “Best of Show” winner to display his 1957 Chevy Nomad in a non-judging category.

In addition to supporting charities selected by the Club, the Vintage Car Club will donate a portion of the proceeds to local charities and will once again provide a $2,000 scholarship to a Douglas County Student who is pursuing a career in the automotive industry.

Last year the show sold out. The downtown show area can accommodate just over 300 vehicles, and when we reach that number we, unfortunately, have to close entry.

See below for ways to register your vehicle: classicrockcruisein.com<http://classicrockcruisein.com/>

Online at classicrockcruisein.com<http://www.classicrockcruisein.com/> – go to the website, enter your information into a simple form and use your credit card to pay the $25 Pre-Registration entry fee over our secure PayPal system. YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO REGISTER ONLINE. We use PayPal to process the transaction, but you can use VISA or MasterCard to pay your registration fee. No credit card information is shown to Club personnel. Online registration will close by 6:00 pm on Wednesday, June 13, or sooner if we sell out.

By Mail - print out an Event Registration Form from our website and mail it with your $25 Pre-Registration fee to Vintage Car Club, PO Box 899, Elizabeth, CO 80107. Please make sure it’s legible, especially your email address. Your entry form and fee must be received by Wednesday June 13. Please make checks payable to Vintage Car Club.

Due to the popularity of this event, it is highly possible that we will sell out by June 13, so please consider pre-registration to avoid disappointment. If the Vintage Car Club determines that designated space is available after June 13, registration for the Cruise In will be open until sold out as described below:

At the Free Street Party on Friday night June 15 - This party gets bigger and better each year. Unless we have sold out by then, we will be registering cars during the party at 1 Stop Tire and Auto, at the corner of Wilcox Street and Fifth Street. The entry fee is $30 payable by cash or check only.

Day of Show – Again, unless we have sold out by then, we will be registering cars on Wilcox Street. The entry fee is $30 payable by cash or check only.

If we sell out prior to the show we will post a notice on our website, classicrockcruisein.com<http://www.classicrockcruisein.com/> and on our Facebook page Vintage Car Club of Castle Rock<https://www.facebook.com/TheVintageCarClub/>.

Once you pre-register we will send you an email that will confirm your entry and will provide you with an entry number that will speed up parking on day of show. There will be No Refunds for this event.

Feel free to contact our Registrar by email with any questions at: registration at classicrockcruisin.com<mailto:registration at classicrockcruisin.com>.

Important information for entrants:

  * Parking of vehicles entering the show shall be as directed by the Vintage Car Club parking attendants.
  * Judging of vehicles will start at 10:30 am and will end at approximately 12:00 pm. Make sure your hood is open for judging.
  * For the safety of our participants and the public, once you enter the Show Area you will not be allowed to exit until the show ends at 3:00 pm. If you have a bona fide emergency prior to 3:00 pm contact a Castle Rock Police Officer to assist you in leaving the area. If you attempt to leave the area on your own you will be ticketed. The VCC and the Police Department have an evacuation plan in place in case of dangerous weather.
  * At the conclusion of the car show, vehicles must leave the Show Area, or be moved to an established parking spot no later than 4:00 pm.
  * Burnouts at any time will not be permitted.
  * No tents or signs shall be placed in a way that would block access to any business or emergency vehicles.
