Hi Corvair Friends, 

If you're in need of a Corvair with more room for taking the grandkids out for icecream or maybe you've never owned a Corvair with a back seat and four doors, here's your lucky day!

Earl Nelson has decided to put his 1962 Corvair Monza Sedan up for sale $7500, he's offering it to our local clubs first!  It's Honduras Maroon with black interior.

He is the original owner and bought it in February 1962 at Red &  White Chevrolet in Lakewood. I asked him "why Earl were you buying a Corvair in Winter??" He said he owned a Ford that didn't run well and never did. He ended up having to ride the bus when living in Denver that got really old quick, so at the time all the advertisements for buying a new Corvair just made sense and sold him on it! 

Earl drove it between Denver and Ault, CO during the week and often to the mountains on weekends. He racked up just under 100,000 and then parked it in his barn in 1972, when he moved back to the family farm in Ault. It came back out of the barn in 1983 and got some TLC with an engine rebuild by a mechanic in Eaton, CO. It has 5000 miles on that rebuild and trans work to date. Over the years he's maintained it well and added some things to customize it, but it has held up very good and been garaged until the last few years he's been living in Niwot, CO. 

The paint still has shine, normal wear and a few dings or blemishes, but it has been covered most times. Earl has driven it to a couple Tri-states and locally for years. Just this past mild Winter Earl drove it all winter without problems to his part-time job at a auto-parts shop in Longmont. It never let him down!
