[PPCC] Sept. updates & Fall Tour

Good Morning Everyone,
Just a reminder that there are lots of activities going on with the club in
Sept. Many of them were in the newsletter and the the Aug. minutes but I
thought I'd send a blast out with updates and details:

*FALL TOUR: SUNDAY, SEPT 23RD---* The Fall tour this year will have us
going to Alma to the South Park Saloon, 24 N Main St. We were there a few
years ago and they have a fun old western saloon decor and great food. We
invited the RMC to join us and are looking forward to a great gathering.
Anyone living in the Springs area, we will be meeting at Rudy's Country
Store and Gas Station on Route 24 at 10:15 am and depart at 10:30. We will
be  driving out 24 to CR 77, (Lake George area), and we will enjoy some
leaf colors along the way to the town of Jefferson on Route 285. Then a
quick drive to Fairplay,  and a turn onto Route 9 up to Alma. Lunch will be
at 1:30. After lunch, for those who haven't been to the Fairplay/Alma area
before,  feel free to visit historic South Park City, in Fairplay.

If you are coming from the Denver area, please meet at 11:45 am, with a
noon departure from The Fort Restaurant in Morrison. You will be driving
out Route 285 to Fairplay and turning Route 9 up to Alma. There should be
some good color up on Kenosha Pass.

*SEPT. CAR SHOWS*

Sept 1st-- first Sat. Car Show in CO Springs

Sept 2nd--Starlite Classic Car & Motorcycle Show in Boulder, 10 - 3 Set-up
at 8 am Location is 13th & Canyon

Sept 8th-- Centennial Car Show-- SeeMore will be there promoting Corvairs
for us. Location is Centennial Center Park from 9-2, Beatles Tribute Band,
vendors, food, a great day for the family.

Sept 8th--Brookdale Senior Living Center, Greenwood Village, 11-2.

Sept 15th-- St. Jude's Charity Invitational Car Show,at Landmark Lincoln,
Englewood, from 9-2. Three of the PPCC cars have been invited to the
show.....Chris K's, Mike Piper's and SeeMore. Come out for a day to support
St. Jude's.

Sept 21-22--Pikes Peak International Raceway Races, race your Corvair on
the track and enjoy some fgreat 50's & 60's bands.

Sept 28-30--Great Plains Car Show, Wichita KS. We will be driving over  on
Thursday the 27th. Many of the folks from this area were at Tri-State in
Crested Butte, so come enjoy their hospitality and car show.

Oct 7th-- The RMC has invited the PPCC members to join them in a cruise to
Bennett CO for a little car show with students and lunch at the High Plains
Diner, at 1:00 pm

Oct 14th-- The RMC has invited the PPCC members to join them for a 'Garage
Tour' to Loveland and Longmont. Breakfast at 8 am at the Cracker Barrel in
Loveland. Then to two different garages to check out the Corvair projects
taking place, including a Corvair powered hot rod and a model car
collection numbering over 350 cars.

One more reminder that our *club meeting* will be at a *new location* this
month on *Sept 16th*. Check for* details and directions in the Aug meeting
minutes*.

There are so many activities going on in Sept./Oct and I hope to see many
of you at the events with your Corvairs. In the meantime,
