Well it's time for the first annual Pikes Peak Corvair Club's Bug Out
this Saturday June 2 from 9 AM till maybe 6 PM.
Are you ready for some fun? This event is a get your car ready for the
car show season, sharpen your skills with some games (weather permitting),
have some food and socialize with other club members.
We will have coffee, donuts and pastries in the morning and hot dogs and
chili for lunch. Please bring your own soft drinks and adult beverages as
desired. Also please bring your chairs.
Parking for Corvairs will be on the gravel in front and on the side of
my shop. All others please park in the back as not to embarrass the
Corvairs. Also I have plenty of parking on my property so try to avoid the
danger of parking on the street.
We will be able to do tune ups, oil changes, filter changes, brakes
jobs, electrical diagnostics, etc. Let me know if there is something
special that you need done to see if time will allow us to get it done. You
will be expected to help with the work on your car as much as you are able.
You will need to bring all your own parts such as oil, filters , brakes,
etc. The club has a very limited supply of extra pars at this time. There
is two auto parts houses that are close by in the case you need something
that is not here.
Games we are planning on are fan belt toss, push rod drop, corn hole bag
toss and horse shoes. Of course the games depend on the weather!
Please RSVP if you are coming with the number of people so we can order
food and to let me know what you would like to get done on your car so I
can get things in order.
Let's make this a fun work/play/eat/socialize event at the Grumpy Old
Man Garage.
If you have any questions please contact me via email.
Thanks, Grumpy Old Man.
