PPCC List - October 2nd is Corvair Heritage Day Across the Universe!!

Good morning PPCC Crew,


Back in Castle Rock after another fun filled weekend of Corvair stuff, this time it was out to Wichita, Kansas for the Great Plains Round-Up with several other folks from our Club (Chris Kimberly, Mike Piper, John & Kathy Green, and Dave & Mary Ellen Feasel).  We had a great time, "SeeMore" (the cut-away car) was a big hit, and we all made it back home safe and sound.  Now, getting out there, a couple of us had some issues, but we'll fill you all in on that during the next meeting.


I wanted to take a minute to remind you all that it was on October 2nd, 1959, that Chevrolet unveiled the Corvair, and as such, October 2nd each year has been dubbed to be "Corvair Heritage Day", a day when all Corvair owners are encouraged to get their Vairs out of the garage, drive it around for the day, and remind the public that the Corvair is still around, and still being enjoyed, 49 years later!


Please support that effort, and as you're out and about in your Vair tomorrow, please take the time to engage folks, share your Corvair Story, and let them know that there is an active club in the area, just waiting for them to take the plunge back into reliving some of the favorite times, when cars had style, and GM wasn't afraid to take a risk.
