Mike,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, it's interesting how such a fast trip to the ground can result in a long recovery period. So take it easy for however long it takes to get back to normal. You know what they say, normal is just a setting on the dryer :)
Regards,
Jerry

Subject: PPCC List - I'm still here...

I've told a few individually but since this will go on for a while and my participation in near term events may be sketchy I thought I'd let you know.

I slipped and fell (99%certain) on ice Friday night. I was able to self rescue and get to a convenience store for help but I managed to bruise my back, give myself a concussion and a brain bleed. I've often said if you are going to screw up, don't mess around.

So, I spent two days in an ICU and another in a neuro ward. I'm home now, and getting better slowly. As Dave Feasel has told me many times, with a brian injury you look fine but stuff is not working. I hope to get rid of the staples in my noggin tomorrow so I'll look fine (or at least the same).

All of this to tell you I may not make some of the events coming up. I can't drive, and when I ride I end up closing my eyes because the hemmorage is near my visual cortex so the rapidly changing visuals are hard to process. I have doctor stuff coming up soon so we'll see how things go. I should be reassembled by the end of the year, I think. As always, things could have been a lot worse.

Regards,

Mike
