PPCC List - Fwd: Car Cruise this Saturday (May 9)

Hi Everyone,
As you know there are a lot of car cruises around town to celebrate
birthdays, graduations, etc.   David Feasel sent this 'drive by car cruise
parade' information to me to share with you all to celebrate a young man
with special needs who loves old cars. Its in Colorado Springs and the
information on the meeting area, drive by route and exit are all below.
This is a fun way to get the cars out, see other cars at a safe distance
and help put a giant smile on a young man. Decorate with balloons,
streamers, flags, and anything else you can think of to brighten his day.

Good morning everyone! I have a very special request for a drive by cruise.
My little brother is special needs and extremely medically fragile so this
pandemic has been really hard on him because he doesn't understand why his
brothers and sister can't come visit or give him hugs. Brandon has spent a
bunch of time in the last few years on life support and the doctors have
already said they don't believe his body can survive it again. Brandon is
physically 21 years old but mentally he is only four. He saw a small
birthday drive by yesterday and started crying because he wanted the cars
to come say hi to him. Vehicles are his absolute favorite thing in the
world and I would love to see if we can get a drive by cruise to come say
hi to him (especially if anyone has a yellow "bumblebee" Camaro. He lives
in the springs. Would anyone be interested in helping me out?

Plan
Where: Meet at the Widick Field parking lot, 426-474 Widick St, Colorado
Springs, CO (There are 2 lots, we will use both)
When: Please arrive around 1:30pm to get parked and in place, grab a few
photos, please keep social distance
1:45pm - Get in cars and get ready
1:55pm - Roll out from A parking lot (see photo), and once A lot is clear,
B parking lot falls in behind.

2:00pm - Begin arrive at Brandon's house at the cul de sac on Marsh Hawk
Dr. Drive the entire cul de sac, and Exit onto Jayton Dr, taking a right.
Jayton to Withington Dr (Left) to Crawford (Right) to Security Blvd (Right)
will take you out to Main st (Left) and then to CanAm Hwy.
