PPCC List - Fall Drive

Hello all,

I am trying to facilitate the annual fall drive.  We have planned it to be on Saturday, Sept. 25th.  We are going to meet at Rudy’s BBQ in Colorado Springs, 315 South 31st St by 9am.  
You can gas up or get a breakfast burrito if you come a bit earlier. We’ll leave Rudy's by 9:15. From there we will drive up Hwy 24 through Woodland Park.  Then we’ll continue west and turn onto Hwy 67 in Divide.  From there we will drive up to Victor, stopping at least once to take photos either of leaves or Corvairs.  

After photo ops, we’ll head on up to Victor, getting there around 11:30ish. You can eat at the City Park on 2nd Street. There is a covered pavilion and large grassy area for picnics. Folks should bring picnic blankets or chairs and their own picnic lunches/drinks. OR you can order a yummy lunch a day or two before the drive by calling the Gold Camp Cafe and Deli Bakery. They make delicious sandwiches if folks do not want to pack a lunch.  We strongly recommend you order a day or two in advance over the phone instead of waiting to order once you are in Victor. The Cafe is one block from the park at 112 South 3rd Street. The phone number is 719-689-9300.  After lunch you can visit the antique shops, loop around to Cripple Creek and visit shops there, or head back on your own.

If you are not going to be at the club meeting this Sunday, either in person or on zoom, PLEASE let me know if you are planning on going.  I had put out a couple emails about the Florence Parade and did not hear back from anyone, so I let them know no Corvairs would be there.  I have since heard that there were people planning to go to the parade, but since I received no response back from anyone, we canceled the parade event for PPCC.  If I don’t hear back from anyone on this event, it will be canceled as well.  Planning activities does take a lot of communication, and we need to hear from you, or events may not happen.  It would be very sad if we have to cancel the drive due to lack of response, since we have done this every year since we joined the club.

So, PLEASE let me know if you are planning on attending.
