Paul,
Thanks for your valuable input and offer of monetary support for SM. Glad to here from our remote members! Yes, SM is an asset to our club and we plan on showing him as much as we can next year. Logistics can sometimes be difficult but we’ll find a way.
You mentioned you were at Springfield, sorry we didn’t know that then as you could have joined our PPCC group activities. Would’ve loved to meet you guys. Are you planning on going to the Tri-State, and if so let’s meet up.

First, I'm an old guy and a fairly new member in the scheme of things.  I have never been to a local meeting.  I did help with the tri-state when it was in Alamosa (I live here).  My wife and I went to the convention in Springfield, IL this year and was proud to see SM there.

I understand how difficult it can be to maintain membership and keep things like SM going.  That being said, I've always been extremely proud of PPCC and its apparent ownership and showing of SM.  To the best of my knowledge no other Corvair club in the US has anything to match it.  It would upset me to see SM go somewhere else and the club lose that jewel.

While I'm not in a position to store, transport, or otherwise be 'hands-on' with SM I am certainly willing to make monetary donations to keep it in the club.  I hope there may be others who feel the same way.

Just my thoughts.
