This year it seems we may have gone from winter to summer without the benefit of spring.

Which brings to mind the Brooklyn National Anthem:
Spring has sprung, the grass is ris,
I wonder where the boidies is
The boid is on the wing,
But that’s absoid

or the corollary more along the driving safety version:
"Spring has sprung, the grass has riz, where last year’s reckless driver is."
