Snow and slippery roads, but definately worth it.  A really good time for all...thank you Glenn and Kelly for opening up your home and steel barn.  Loved the train engine for the grandkids.Sent from my T-Mobile 5G Device

Rex and Kristal, Chris, Jerry, Steve made it out to the Dowling place. Randy apparently was stampeded by elk in the snow, attacked by zombies, almost starved to death…and was nearly hit by a meteor so he had a ‘reasonable’ excuse for heading home. We had no Corvairs due to the snow, but we nonetheless stood around in the barn freezing, talking about cars, welders, etc. There was hot coffee for all so that helped. Eventually, however, we made the 5 mile trek through the blowing snow back up to the house and had some burgers, dogs, sides and a wonderful cheese cake that Steve slaved over for at least 10 min at Costco. No, really…it was awesome! So in the end we had fun get together regardless of the weather! We’ll set something up again soon through the club for some actual work to get done! I think Jerry may have a few pics to share. Glenn and Kelly Dowling From: JERRY PEEVYHOUSE <kpvhouse53 at msn.com> Sent: Friday, April 26, 2024 4:06 PMTo: anchorhead at verizon.netCc: Steve Woods <skwflight at aol.com>; Christine Kimberly <ckimberly4749 at gmail.com>; Pikes Peak Corvair Club <ppcc-list at corvair.org>Subject: Re: PPCC List - Bug-out and weather forcast 👍Sent from my iPhoneOn Apr 26, 2024, at 3:56 PM, anchorhead at verizon.net wrote: All, Based on feedback, our Corvair club is happy to brave the elements so we are on for 1000 showtime. The gate will be open. We’ll try to get all the ‘vairs into the barn before the rain if possible, Please dress accordingly. The barn will be dry but without heating can get a bit cold though the cement is pretty warm with all the good weather we’ve had. See you all then! My number is 301-351-1561 if you run into any issues. Glenn and Kelly Dowling From: Steve Woods <skwflight at aol.com> Sent: Friday, April 26, 2024 3:34 PMTo: 'Christine Kimberly' <ckimberly4749 at gmail.com>; anchorhead at verizon.netCc: 'Pikes Peak Corvair Club' <ppcc-list at corvair.org>Subject: Re: PPCC List - Bug-out and weather forcast I picked up desert on my way home today.  I'll be there unless it gets postponed.  Either way works for me. Steve  On Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10:21:17 AM MDT, Glen & Kelly Dowling via PPCC-List <ppcc-list at corvair.org> wrote:   Chris, Thanks! I'd like to get a sense from the crowd ifwe should press ahead given that the barn will be dry (but is not heated)and so far the rain/snow appears to be 'scheduled' for later in the day, orshould we look to postpone for a better weekend. I'm happy to press aheadbut I don't have to make the slog to black forest. Please let me know your thoughts asapGlenn and Kelly Dowling-----Original Message-----From: PPCC-List <ppcc-list-bounces at corvair.org> On Behalf Of KristalHarrison via PPCC-ListSent: Thursday, April 25, 2024 7:32 PMTo: Pikes Peak Corvair Club <ppcc-list at corvair.org>Subject: PPCC List - May Edition of the Drip Line_______________________________________________This message was sent by the PPCCs mailing list, all copyrights are theproperty of the writer, please attribute properly. This list sponsored by the Corvair Society of America,http://www.corvair.org---------- Forwarded message ----------From: "Glen & Kelly Dowling via PPCC-List" <ppcc-list at corvair.org>To: "'Kristal Harrison'" <kristal_rex1 at yahoo.ca>, "'Pikes Peak Corvair Club'" <ppcc-list at corvair.org>Cc: Bcc: Date: Fri, 26 Apr 2024 09:28:20 -0600Subject: PPCC List - Bug-out and weather forcast_______________________________________________This message was sent by the PPCCs mailing list, all copyrights are the property of the writer, please attribute properly. This list sponsored by the Corvair Society of America, http://www.corvair.org_______________________________________________This message was sent by the PPCCs mailing list, all copyrights are the property of the writer, please attribute properly. This list sponsored by the Corvair Society of America, http://www.corvair.org
