Unfortunately, we will be out of town this year. I'm nearly ready to put the running gear back in the 63, finally. It will be nice when we can participate fully. Enjoy!

Subject: PPCC List - Fall Drive
Hello all,
It has been on the calendar for nine months! Now it is time for our fall drive. It is next Sunday, Sept. 27th. We’ll end up in Guffey, as several mentioned.
We will meet at the same place as last year. On the corner of 31st Street & Colorado Avenue in Colorado Springs. It is one block north of Hwy 24 (opposite side from Rudy’s BBQ). There is a KFC you can park by (across from Starbucks). We will want to leave there by 10am.
We will then caravan west on Hwy 24 through Woodland Park. We’ll turn south in Divide on Hwy 67 to Cripple Creek. We’ll probably stop along the way for our usual photo along the side of the road. Make sure you lean right staying on 67 towards Cripple Creek, not left on 81 towards Victor. We’ll go on through Cripple Creek on Carr St/County Road 1, and get on County Road 11/102 towards Guffey.
In Guffey we’ll eat at Wild Spirit Mountain Lodge. Looks like they have a nice assortment on their menu. They have a bar & restaurant inside as well as a big outside sitting area, both covered and not, where dogs are welcome.
After visiting and eating you are welcome to look around Guffey. They have a couple antique shops and rusted old cars to look at. Then you are welcome to go back the way we came or head back towards Woodland Park on Country Rd 9 to Hartsel, then onto Hwy 24 through Lake George and Florissant. This way provides different views, less Aspen, but a few patches.
Hopefully, the Aspen will be at full glory for us, but you never know. Last year we had 27 members, let's have more this year. Please let me know if you are planning on joining us. That way we can make sure everyone ends up at the meeting place ready to go and not be left behind.
See you there,
John Green
