<html><body><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000"><div aria-label="Compose body"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Hello All Current Members of the Pikes Peak Corvair Club,</span></div><div aria-label="Compose body"><br></div><div aria-label="Compose body">Well, it's that time of the year again to dig deep, find that checkbook, and send a check for $25 over to Mr. John Koll, our long-time Treasurer and keeper of the funds!</div><div aria-label="Compose body"><br></div><div aria-label="Compose body">For those of you who have a had a chance to write that check already, thanks. For those of us who haven't yet got off the fence, go ahead, do it, just do it, and do it right now!!</div><div aria-label="Compose body"><br></div><div aria-label="Compose body">Your $25 gets you not only a direct connection to some of the smartest Corvair people in Colorado to help you with your projects, but also an electronically delivered copy of the award winning newsletter, "The Drip Line", in full living color. When you read it, you'll swear that the stories just come alive and jump right off the pages, keeping you warm on a cold winter's night, like an old friend, ... but I digress :)</div><div aria-label="Compose body"><br></div><div aria-label="Compose body">Additionally, your membership provides you with an opportunity to vote on some of the biggest issues of our time! No, I'm not talking about boring stuff like same sex marriage, the legalization of marijuana, or gun control, those have already been decided here in Colorado. I'm talking about important things, like changes in our Club bylaws, such as the amendment which was motioned, discussed, and passed unanimously during the last meeting of the PPCC (last Sunday)!</div><div aria-label="Compose body"><br></div><div aria-label="Compose body">That amendment, to our current bylaws (dated 4-21-13), eliminated the prerequisite of CORSA membership in order to obtain/retain general membership in the PPCC. For the background on that discussion, please take a look at the meeting minutes (to be published in the upcoming February newsletter), but know that you can now keep that $37-$45 in your pocket if want to belong to the PPCC, but don't feel that you need to belong to the national organization in order to have fun.</div><div aria-label="Compose body"><br></div><div aria-label="Compose body">As the newly anointed Membership Chair of this fine organization, I'm sending out this reminder to all of our current members, asking you all to reach out to other Corvair owners that you may know in the area (including former PPCC members who may have left for one reason or another over the past couple years), and encourage them to take another look at the organization which we call our Corvair Family.</div><div aria-label="Compose body"><br></div><div aria-label="Compose body">Let them know that the Tri-State is in Montrose this year and that all Corvair enthusiasts are welcome, members of the Club or not. We want to see 50 Corvairs out there in Montrose this year, so I'm asking every member to reach out to those who may be on the fence, get them engaged and let's make 2016 the best year the PPCC has ever had!!</div><div aria-label="Compose body"><br></div><div aria-label="Compose body">Attached is a copy of the new/revised PPCC Membership form for your use. Print a couple copies and take it to the car shows with you. You know there's always someone with a Corvair story, so leverage that nostalgia and turn it into a new member of the family. We can find them a Corvair if they want one, Steve Goodman knows where all the good ones are hiding :)</div><div aria-label="Compose body"><br></div><div aria-label="Compose body">See you all at the February meeting. Who know what we'll be discussing, or voting on, maybe a bid for the 2018 National Convention!!
