</head><body><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">Hello All,</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">As part of the planning committee for the upcoming Concours d'Elegance event, planned for June 9th over at the Arapahoe Community College (ACC) campus in Littleton, I wanted to pass along a request for assistance, as well as some internal info, specific to our participation in the event.</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">First, we need volunteers to help with a variety of tasks, so if you want to help, please call the number on the flyer, and let them know that you're from one of the two local Corvair Clubs. You'll get in to the event for free, and I believe lunch is provided. So, a win-win for both you, and the worthy charity this event is raising funds for.</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">Next, if you're lucky enough to be one of the 12 selected Corvairs invited to participate in this year's event, I wanted to let you know that we will be in a shaded area right next to the Corvettes, the BMWs, the Saabs, and the Aston Martins. So, with only the best of the best Corvairs on display, we'll make the rest of those brands look good :)</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">Make no mistake, getting an invite this event is a big deal for the Corvair community. While we know these are wonderful automobiles, with revolutionary engineering, many in the public, and the media, continue to share misinformation about the vehicle and this is an opportunity to educate and set folks straight. "SeeMore", the cut-away Corvair will be on site, and will draw hundreds of folks to our display area. I doubt if the Ferrari or Porsche clubs will be bringing a cut-away car, just sayin' :)</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">Personal invites to this limited opportunity showing will be presented only to the owners of those cars judged to be of concourse quality, during the Tri-State Show & Shine event in Alamosa on May 18th. Our very own member Ken Schifftner will be doing the pre-judging out in Alamosa, and will also participate in the formal judging of the cars at ACC. Ken has a long history with CORSA as a recurring concourse judge four our national convention event, so we will be represented well.</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">For those individuals interested in preparing their car for the Tri-State judging, I have a copy of the Interior, Exterior, Engine Compartment, and Storage (Trunk) Compartment scoring sheets, which I'd be more than happy to share. Just send me a note, and I'll pass them along to you.</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">If you plan on attending, without your car, please consider volunteering for the day.
