<div dir="auto"> First I would like to ask who is "hvac1515"? <div dir="auto"> Second my understanding is that the proposal for the convention had to in to Corsa by September according to Ken Shiftner. Without guidelines provided by Corsa how can the board have time to give any intelligent information to the club. </div><div dir="auto"> Before any decision such as this ANY organization or company must have all information needed to make a decision. Think about it people and be smart as to the actions needed. </div><div dir="auto"> 1. What committees are needed and what are their duties?</div><div dir="auto"> 2. How many people are usually needed to fill each committee?</div><div dir="auto"> 3. What venues or events are needed and where would they be located?</div><div dir="auto"> 4. What materials are needed and where would they need to come from?</div><div dir="auto"> 5. What license or permits are needed?</div><div dir="auto"> This is just some of the information that would be needed to make any intelligent decision. BE SMART!</div><div dir="auto"> Think about it for a minute, does the PPCC have the membership numbers to be able to hold such an event? There are only about 11 PPCC members in the Springs area that may or may not be able to be available on short notice to take care of any action that may need to happen.</div><div dir="auto"> An example is the hospitality room. </div><div dir="auto"> A. What food and drinks are to be provided?</div><div dir="auto"> B. Who is going to get the food and drinks? This usually takes anywhere from 3 to 6 people.</div><div dir="auto"> C. You need ice chests and ice to keep drinks cold and you need sometimes a small group of people to transport food and drinks.</div><div dir="auto"> D. You need people to man the room. YOU CANNOT MAN IT WOTH JUST ONE PERSON.</div><div dir="auto"> E. You need personal to clean up afterwards.</div><div dir="auto"> F. You need people to transport remaining goods out of room to wherever you store the goods.</div><div dir="auto"> Short answer is you need at least 6 people to be able to support the hospitality room room at any given time. I know this from experience in running events the size of a convention and larger.</div><div dir="auto"> THE CLUB NEEDS GUIDANCE FROM CORSA WHICH IS NOT FORTHCOMING. </div><div dir="auto"> I am very frustrated with those that have no knowledge or have never been involved in the GRUNT work involved.</div><div dir="auto"> ASK QUESTION BEFORE SAYING YES LETS DO IT. </div><div dir="auto"> THINK, THINK, THINK. </div><div dir="auto"> Do not disparage the board as to their decision. I trust that all of you have seen the email that John sent earlier this week regarding his stepping down as President of PPCC over issues arising from club discussions regarding possible club hosting of the 2024 CORSA National Convention. I personally am sad
that things got to that point, but at the board meeting I called this week as acting president to discuss how to proceed and get past this, we all agreed that we need to work as a club to continue with our purpose to promote the acquisition, preservation,
restoration, exhibition, and enjoyment of Corvairs. </div>

We also discussed how to proceed with the subject of hosting the convention in 2024, and voted unanimously not to present a bid to CORSA to host the convention. We realize that while there were some members who had expressed interest in this, there were numerous
unanswered questions, and pressures being placed on us to get this done ASAP without having updated written guidance provided by CORSA. </div>
