They were never issued and they are still in the original brown paper sleeves. These plates were originally issued to Rio Blanco County with a YV prefix. In the state of Colorado you are permitted to register a classic vehicle with a classic license plate.- As long as you have a matched set of date stamped license plates that matched the year of manufacture of your vehicle. If you fill out a form with the DMV and send a picture of the license plates It is free to register the plates. So if anyone in the club has a 1966 Corvair and would like to register some classic license plates to that vehicle let me know.
