I received a call from long time (lifetime) member, Ray Schick. He sounded like he was doing pretty well, though he had sad news about eight of his Corvairs.</div>

He had parked eight of his cars on a friends property. The friend, and subsequently his wife, passed away. When their children came in to empty the property, they paid a salvage yard to come tow the cars away (they apparently didn't know who they belonged to.</div>

When Ray found out, he went to the salvage yard, but all eight cars were 'cannibalized' for parts, including his '60 sedan, #108. They were subsequently crushed.</div>

Ray still has four Corvairs, including a Lakewood on which he is currently working. I'm guessing a call of encouragement might be helpful from some of the club members who know him.</div>
