Hello all: Returned Sunday from Lexington. The weather even though =
humid and the threat of rain almost every hour was quite pleasant. =
There was a light breeze blowing almost constantly which kept the =
humidity level down. Around the state of Kentucky was wide spread heavy =
rains and flooding, the Lexington area lucked out.
The car count at the concourse was pretty good. I think one of the =
reasons is that more CORSA members live back east plus everything is =
closer together. I thought that the cars looked very good overall.
The autox got off to a late start Friday but the track was pretty wide =
open although the corner transitions were fairly intense. It could have =
used more sweeping motions instead of very quick turns. =20
I didn't attend the rally or econo runs nor the Sat night banquet. It =
is my understanding that the raffle car got re-donated to CORSA and sold =
at auction for $20,000.00, the money going to the club. It was a very =
nice 66 Monza convert 140/pg and if I had won it, it would be in Denver =
now, not on the auction block.
RMC was represented by Dale/Joan Wilshire--Christy Barden--Howard =
Steward--Ray Klomp and Steve/Ruth G.
