Hi Larry,
Thanks for reaching out. I can speak to that.
We run with the RMC-List because it is a CORSA sponsored, secure email distribution which we can control both access to, and distribution of material to the members.
Through the effective administration of the List, we make sure you're only getting relevant, RMC Club related emails, and not cat videos or Viagra adds.
If individuals do not want to be included on the List (too many emails), all they have to do is request to be removed. That's an easy deletion, however, in doing that, the individual will not receive the newsletter electronically either (pdf of the newsletter is now being sent only by way of the RMC list each month). If someone opts out of the List distribution, the newsletter will not be mailed via USPS, but instead they would need to pull it down from the Club website after Dale posts it, and print a personal copy for themselves from home.
Hope that helps to understand why it's in place and will remain as the primary secure communication for the Club. It is an effective tool, when used as intended.
If we're having problems with email addresses being reached, such as bresnan.net, then we take that issue to the CORSA List admin and Bryan will get that taken care of for us.
