[Rmc-list] Thank You For Attending the Meeting on Friday & A Note About the 50/50 Drawing

Hello RMC Crew,


For those of you who were able to attend this month's business meeting, this past Friday evening, I wanted to thank you all personally for coming out, and for the high level of participation during the meeting.  It was great to see the room full of familiar faces, a couple guests, and several members I haven't had a chance to catch up within quite a while.  Thanks for making the long drive into Denver and battling the Friday night traffic.


Also, a very special thanks to our guest speaker for the evening, Dusty Dodge, for sharing his involvement with "Habitat for Humanity", and "Hands of the Carpenter", out of Golden.  Two great charity organizations, and if you'd like more info beyond what Dusty was able to share with us, please feel free to reach out to him directly. 


Since the meeting ended Friday night, I've received several calls and emails regarding the way the 50/50 drawing was conducted, and why the ticket sales were cut off so early in the meeting.  Frankly, there was no reason to cut off the sales so early, so I'll apologize on behalf of the Club for that happening.  We'll address the internal sales process to ensure everyone who wants to participate, has an opportunity to do so.  Heck, if you're willing to give the Club your hard earned cash, then we're certainly appreciative of that gesture, and very much willing to take it :) .   Going forward, know that tickets for the 50/50 drawing can be purchased prior to the meeting, throughout the meeting, and right up to the time we draw the lucky number.


Hope to see you all bring your cars out for a fun Fall Cruise out to Alma on Sunday, September 23rd.  I understand that the Pikes Peak Corvair Club is looking to also do an additional Aspen Fall Cruise on Saturday, September 22nd to Cripple Creek, to catch those PPCC and RMC members who are not available on Sunday.  Two days of cruising around in your Corvairs?  That's a deal, so let's hit the road!  More info to come as we go into next week.
