Gang:

If you are going to the CORSA 2019 Convention and will enter a vehicle in the Concours, there is something of interest for you.

Ray Morales (the concours Chairperson) has come up with a clever plan that helps remedy an old (very old) problem. If, in the past, you judged AND participated in the Concours, the schedule placed you at a time and competitive disadvantage. The time spent being a judge often took away time for prepping your vehicle (or otherwise enjoying the convention).

The "fly in the ointment" was Unit 6. This is the “operations" portion of the judging. The participant (or at least someone delegated) has to be there to operate the various (hopefully) operable parts of their entry. A small group of experienced judges do the judging (not all judges) on Unit 6 but those judges with Concours vehicles have to be there to operate their vehicle(s).

What Ray has done is schedule a SPECIAL Unit 6 for Monday at 10:00 AM for doing Unit 6 ONLY on judge's vehicles. That means that judges will now have equal time for prepping their vehicles. After Unit 6 on Monday, they are free until the Judges and Participants meetings on Concours day.

Please let Ray know if you want to take advantage of this opportunity.

Also, if someone traveling with you wants to experience CORSA judging, please let Ray know. He does a “shadow judge” program as well wherein you can look over the shoulder (except for Undercarriage, ha, ha) of a judge to see how easy (and enjoyable) it is. Better yet, just sign up to be a judge!
