Some years ago a guest on a radio show had restored P51 Mustang and was flying at an air show at Centennial.  A fellow called in and said he would like to restore a plane also and wanted a cost estimate of what to expect.  The guest said if you have to ask the cost you can not afford it.

Thanks ever so much for "chairing" this event.
There were more things to do in the museum than it first appeared...
Given enough time, it would have been fun to do some of the flight simulators.
And for all of those folks that think you've spent waaayyy too much restoring your Corvair, that restored DC-3 must have been a major investment. Just the polishing of the external skin must have taken countless hours and gallons of polishing compound.
And to think that it's going to be flown to Normandy this summer to celebrate the 75th anniversary of D-Day is quite the ambitious feat.

Luncheon at "the Perfect Landing" was great, the fellowship and conversation was, as always, interesting.
...and I had enough left overs for dinner!
All in all, a great event...thanks again.

Be safe out there!

Given the expected “good" weather, looks like we’ll have a fine turn out!

Details:

The street sign where you turn to get to the Wings property is marked “Isbill Road” though the Wings address is "13005 Wings Way". The Museum has a flag at the corner however. Yes, you can miss it…but you’d have to really try.

Since there will be another event there, Wings roped off an area for those driving Corvairs. There is additional parking however available.

We’ll likely overflow the 18 reserved seats we have at the Perfect Landing. If so, some folks will need to sit wherever available. The time, 1:30, was chosen to be after the normal lunch rush…but who knows?

For folks coming with kids, you may want to purposely ask for a table near the windows. The take-offs and landings are neat to watch from that location.

Perfect Landing said to ask for any specials they might have regarding the menu.

See you there!
