Hello all: A further note in regards to running in the garage: The exhaust system generates some moisture/condensation when started up cold. Most of us have seen spitting of watery looking specks out of exhaust outlets. Unless the exhaust system is brought up to operating temperature the inside of exhaust pipes and muffler(s) will NOT dry out. The car must be driven to bring exhaust gas temp up to proper numbers (1200-1400 deg F) or rust will occur.
Realistically we have enough nice winter days that many times fall on weekends too that we can sneak the cars out for a short drive virtually every winter month of the year.
Happy Corvairing (and no more preaching)
Steve

Subject: PPCC List - Exercise your Corvairs Hello fellow Corvair owners: with summer winding down I would like to remind everyone to get their Corvairs or other 'garage babies' out at least once a month for 15-20 mile drive or more. Particularly if the cars don't venture out much once roads get badly sanded etc.
Please keep fuel tanks filled at least most of the way too.
DO NOT just start up car in garage for a few minutes. The brakes and anything else that moves or turns need to be used too.
Steve
