RMC List - Corvair wiper blade source

I have purchased at NAPA. They do not always have the right length in
stock, and can order it. But I have purchased slightly longer ones and cut
them down. There is a crimp in the plastic rail that keeps the rubber from
sliding out with the wiping action, and if you cut them down you have to
add something like that to the plastic rail. I did it with a heated object
like a screwdriver tip.
They definitely are not as good or as easy as the replacement blade that
attaches to the bayonet end. But they are adequate and it allows you to
use the SS arm parts instead of the black arms they all use now. Or on
Melissa's 62, the aftermarket spring arms that look vintage European.
Watch out for scratching the glass, as Steve notes. The rubber will tear
and drop the end of the arm to the glass, scratching it in short order.
Thanks,
Rob
