Good afternoon, Rocky Mountain Corsa,

My name is Bill Winkelmann and I am the membership chair for Corsa West,
Corsa's San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles, CORSA Chapter 914.  We here in
Southern California were quite saddened to hear of the passing of our dear
Jonni.  She was one of four life members, having been coupled with the great
Herb Berkman, whom we lost in 2007.  I very much liked the article that just
appeared in the RMC Club newsletter which put Jonni in a very positive
light.  The picture of her at the table was just great and a wonderful way
to remember her.

When Corsa West hosted the 2008 CORSA Convention in Ventura CA in 2008,
Jonni was there every day doing something for whatever was on the calendar
that day.  She was a key participant in the Concours, the Econo Run and
worked all day Friday at the Autocross.  When we hosted the Fan Belt Toss in
2015, Jonni had contacted me in advance requesting that she would like to
help.  I believe she worked at the raffle table all weekend long.  I will
always be thankful for her commitment to help where she could.

Since I have copied Tony, I was wondering if you had an e-mail address for
Christy Barden (if you have that information) .  It's sad to say that I only
have the 'Toss to catch up with friends like Christy or Ken Britt from Las
Vegas, etc., and with the 'Toss cancelled in 2020, I missed seeing many
Corsa friends.  After having attended the Fan Belt Toss since 1998 and
joining Corsa West's E-Board in 2003, I look forward to Palm Springs more
for social interaction vs buying and swapping parts.  It is one of the
events I can always count on for Christy to be at and I always love catching
up.

If someone has a # to reach Christy, I would entertain getting that too.  If
anyone wants to request permission from Christy to share that information,

Thank you all for everything you do to keep the interest in our little car
going.  The Corvair world is still thriving out here, albeit dealing with
the safety protocols attached to Covid, and we look forward to seeing you
guys at the next 'Toss or at a CORSA event.
