RMC List - July RMC meeting (date confirmation)

Hi all,
 
I was able to confirm with Jeff Silverberg at Elway Chevrolet that based on how we've conducted ourselves in the past it is OK to continue with the first Friday of the month meetings from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  we will be there after their managers leave at 8:00 PM so as we have done in the past we need to be sure we pick up the trash, put things back pretty much as we found them, turn off the lights, make sure the door at the bottom of the stairs is closed, etc.  I don't know that we knew the managers leave at 8:00 but that makes sense.  The place is usually pretty deserted.
 
I know this does not make everybody happy but I have confirmed it is OK for us to meet on 12 July 12, instead of 5 July.  There were two that said this is not good for them, several that said it was better, and one was unsure because he would bring a potential new member if he's in town.  I'm going to leave immediately after the meeting to drive to Pueblo for the Rosemount Museum car show so a shorter meeting is helpful to me. 
 
The length of our meetings has come up.  It is not necessary to delve into things with the level of detail we have been.  I think we still wish to have snacks.  We can shorten the events discussion and rely on brief highlights of upcoming events and who to talk to.  We can make the upcoming Tri-State discussion a short update and ask for help as needed.  Paul and Ken can manage the details and just update the group.
 
The email list server has undergone tests and the obvious first problem is our roster is not up to date to validate actual current members are getting emails.  The list of those confirming they receive the emails is pretty consistent but does not match the out of date we have been using.  Once we get the roster updated we can move on to a next step.  Hopefully all members get this email.  Please talk with your friends to be sure.
 
One last thing (for now) to ponder is how we can make meetings more interesting for the spouses who may not have the same level of interest in the Corvairs.  Participation by husbands and wives can make the hobby more interesting, and potentially a more social event.
