John,

To more fully describe my car, it is a 1966 Monza Convertible with a 140/PG. It has the governor with the purple paint on it so it is the PG specifically governed for a 140. The rear end ratio is 3.55:1.

I have not driven a 110/PG but I suspect that combination might actually be a bit better because the 140 likes to run at 3000+ RPM and lugging it is just no fun at all. Lots of low gear/high gear/low gear in mountainous terrain.

Regards,

Mike
