RMC List - Help Rob and the CONEHEADS Fight MS!

Well,  I missed out sharing this at the May meeting, then we didn't have
the June meeting.  I missed sending something to the newsletter twice too!
So I'm sharing on the RMC list today and will be at the meeting today with
my cones.

Many of you know I have been riding each year to fight Multiple Sclerosis
in the Bike MS tour.  Many of you have sponsored me in the past and I thank
you for that!

I started in 1990 as a fun challenge with friends, raising the minimum
amount.  In 1994 I broke my elbow while out on a training ride 3
weeks before the event, and I volunteered at the starting line that year.
I got to meet many people living with MS, and learn more about their
challenges and how the MS Society supports them.  From there I became
a dedicated fundraiser as well as a rider.  We formed a team around 2015
that became Team CONEHEADS.  In 2024 we achieved a lifetime team total of
$1 million, and we keep on going.

Over the years I have seen improvement in diagnosis and treatment to manage
MS.  People living with MS diagnosed today are much better off than they
were in 1990 thanks to the research we fund and the direct care the MS
Society offers.  Colorado has the highest prevalence of MS in the country,
and it most often strikes young active adults who suddenly find they can't
do what they always could.  And 4 out of 5 living with MS are women.

My goal this year is to raise $3,000 and my Team CONEHEADS is working to
raise $100,000.

there my total looks pretty low but I have a lot of coworker donations and
company matches coming that are held up a bit.

I can also take cash, or a check written to the *National MS Society*, or
