Sorry to be the bearer of really bad news, but I know many of you
knew Ron Nickerson, a fellow rodder, who was the co-owner, along with his
brother Bob, of Two Brothers Automotive on South Tejon.

Ron was shot in
the face today with a shotgun at the garage by a man in a ski mask, and passed
away tonight at Swedish Hospital, where he had been listed in critical
condition. The man fled on Tejon to College Avenue. Police located the
shotgun under a car on College Avenue. Witnesses who saw the man running away
said he was dark-skinned, 20-30 years old, 6 foot tall, medium build, wearing a
yellow shirt and tan pants. The mask may have been dicarded at the
shop.

Employees said a disgruntled former customer was in the shop
earlier in the day arguing and made some threats....

Bill Gordon advised
me earlier tonight Ron has died. That has now been verified by the 9
O'clock news. He is interested in raising some memorial for Ron, to
benefit his wife....I think she is a nurse in Englewood. Ron was always
willing to help shows associated with charitable causes. Ron and Bob
rebuilt my T-Bucket back in 2001.

If the family wants us to, many of us
would be willing to bring our cars for a final tribute at the funeral.

I will advise you all of anything further as we get
information.

Alan Page
Golden, CO.
