to help put on a Corvair display. The RMC and PPCC club meetings have
produced some interest and a list of cars that would be available during 3
month period (September 1st thru November 30th, 2015).<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

12.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p>

12.0pt'>Since some members were not at the club meeting I am sending out this
email to find out if there are any other members who would be interested in
providing their cars to the event.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

color:red'>1. Can a participant remove his car if he does not want to
leave it for the entire 3 month period?</span></font><font size=2 color=blue><span

font-style:italic'>Larry -</span></i></b> <b><i><span style='font-weight:
bold;font-style:italic'>No. We ask that in order to make it a professional and
proper exhibit, all participating vehicles must remain in place for the
duration of the special exhibit. It is also a lot of work to set-up and
arrange an exhibit only to end up either having holes in it mid-way through
and/or have to re-arrange the cars.</span></i></b></span></font><font size=1
face=Arial><span style='font-size:8.0pt;font-family:Arial'><o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'><font

color:red'>2. How many cars would he need to make the display worthwhile?</span></font><font

style='font-weight:bold;font-style:italic'>At least a dozen and I'd like at
least one example of a first year 1960 and a last year 1969. I'd also
want at least one example of each body style; 2 & 4 door sedan, hardtop,
wagon, van, pickup and convertible.</span></i></b></span></font><font size=1

color:red'>3. Are the cars covered by a Forney insurance policy, i.e.,
fire, theft, damage while on display?</span></font><font size=2 color=blue><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;color:blue'> <b><i><span style='font-weight:bold;
font-style:italic'>Each owner is required to carry their own insurance and to
provide proof of coverage, which must be in-force during the duration of the
exhibit. We ask that each owner please contact their carrier and inform
them that their car is at the Museum in a concrete & steel building with
alarm & sprinkler systems. The Museum provides basic protections in the
form of chains, but cannot be responsible for theft or damage. In my over
5 years here doing these special exhibits, we have had only one hood ornament
stolen and it turned out to be a grudge/revenge issue between the owner and
another party.</span></i></b></span></font><font size=1 face=Arial><span
style='font-size:8.0pt;font-family:Arial'><o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'><font

color:red'>4. Some of the Corvairs are not show quality. What is
your minimum requirement?</span></font><font size=2 color=blue><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;color:blue'> <b><i><span style='font-weight:bold;
font-style:italic'>It depends upon what the term "not show quality"
means. Clearly the vehicle needs to be presentable; no rust, body damage,
poor condition interior, etc. I'm willing to be flexible, but clearly the
nicer the examples, the higher the quality of the display.</span></i></b></span></font><font
size=1 face=Arial><span style='font-size:8.0pt;font-family:Arial'><o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'><font
size=2 color=red face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
color:red'>Any thing you can add based on your experience would also be
helpful. </span></font><font size=2 color=blue><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
color:blue'> <b><i><span style='font-weight:bold;font-style:italic'>Again,
I prefer to have the cars as stock as possible, as one of the goals of these
exhibits is to showcase the cars as they appeared when new or having rolled off
the assembly line. Clearly suspension modifications or those made under
the hood, where they would not be readily visible to the amateur eye, are fine.
We also welcome any memorabilia, literature, models or signage which
owners may have and would like to contribute to the display.</span></i></b></span></font><font
size=1 face=Arial><span style='font-size:8.0pt;font-family:Arial'><o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
