</head><body><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">Hello <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">RMC</span> Crew,</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">We had a great meeting last evening, with lots of new info shared by the Collector Car Council of Colorado, some fun stories shared from the recent Great Plains Roundup, and a hearty discussion about revoking the current administrative requirement.</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">Several members in attendance said that they were not aware that <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> had changed their Chapter Plan requirements, specific to the maintenance of our current <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> Chapter status. So, I wanted to make clear to all in the membership that in revoking this purely administrative requirement, which, in my opinion, is an absolute new membership killer, we are not encouraging anyone to drop their current membership in <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span>, nor are we looking to relinquish our Chapter status in <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span>. What we are looking to do is remove an inhibiting factor in membership recruitment. We will still encourage membership in <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span>, but it will no longer be a requirement. It's that simple. </p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">To help clarify where <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> is today in their requirements, the below section is from the latest Chapter Plan (attached), <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">dtd</span> 6/29/18, so it's as current as they have. The "annual filing fee" is the <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">admin</span> fee I had mentioned at the meeting last night, which was $35 the past couple years, and we have not seen any info as of yet that that will change for 2019.</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><strong>Section IV. Maintenance of Chapter Status</strong><br>After having been granted Chapter status, the local club or interest group shall<br>perform the following actions to maintain it. Failure to meet one or more of these<br>requirements may result in revocation of Chapter status and all the benefits thereof<br>until such time as the failure is cured. Revocation shall become effective upon<br>notice thereof by the Executive Secretary.<br>1. Maintain the <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> membership requirements of Section II, items 1 and 2.<br>2. Include the Executive Secretary on its mailing list.<br>3. Meet at least annually. <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">Online</span> meetings and teleconference meetings are acceptable providing that a quorum of Chapter members participate.<br>4. Publish a newsletter for its members at least four times a year -or- maintain an active <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">online</span> discussion board with current correspondence by and between its members -or- have at least four meetings annually of at least 25% of its<br>members. If a Chapter elects to publish a newsletter, then it shall also:<br>a. Include the Executive Editor of the <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> Communique on its newsletter mailing list,<br>b. Offer to maintain a newsletter exchange with neighboring and other Chapters.<br>5. Provide the following to the <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> Secretary each calendar year:</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">a. Chapter membership roster,<br>b. List of Chapter officers,<br>c. Time and location of meetings,<br>d. <strong>Payment of an annual filing fee.</strong><br>i. The amount of the filing fee will be set by a majority vote of the <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> Board of Directors.<br>ii. Effective January 1, 2017, the fee shall be paid no later than December 31 for the respective calendar year.<br>iii. The December 31 payment deadline shall be considered one of the requirements for maintaining chapter status.<br>iv. Chapters located outside North America are exempt from the requirement to pay an annual fee because of the limited benefits accorded to them.<br>Special Interest Groups shall have the same requirements as Chapters to maintain their status.</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><strong>Section II. Qualifications for Granting Chapter Status (for new Chapters seeking approval)</strong><br>To become a <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> Chapter, a local group of <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> members must make application for Chapter status to the <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> Executive Secretary. This application must include:<br>1. The names and addresses of all the members of the proposed Chapter. <strong>The </strong><strong>membership list must include at least ten <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> members and the <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> </strong><strong>members must account for at least half of the total members</strong> of the proposed chapter. In Alaska, Hawaii, and foreign countries other than Canada, this minimum requirement is three.<br>2. The names of club officers for the proposed Chapter. <strong>A majority of the proposed </strong><strong>Chapter's executive officers (president, vice-president, et al.) must be <span class="mce-spellchecker-word">CORSA</span> </strong><strong>members</strong>.</p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><br></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #333333;">For those of you who had a chance to attend last night, thank you very much for your participation, and engagement in the discussions.
