<div dir='auto'>Sad to hear the news of Harlan Sr passing away. Sending love to Harlan Jr and Terri.<div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Harlan Sr always had a great sense of humor, was quick to offer all sorts of helpful advice to me when I was a novice Corvair owner and newbie autocrosser. He had some really great adventures that turned into great stories for a very full and blessed life. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">I was fortunate to attend a lot of Corsa conventions and even the Fan Belt toss out in Palm Springs over the years with the Colburn family. I can picture Harlan Sr driving that big diesel pusher motor home and Harlan Jr riding shotgun. Where one Harlan was you were certain father or son, wasn't to far off. It just became easier to say Harlan and Harlan. Steve Goodman taught me that!</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Harlan Sr told me a story of a trip that he and Harlan Jr had taken in the motor home pulling the white race car trailer behind it. The two had been gabbing back and forth so much, one asked the other " well do remember when we checked the trailer last?" and one said "well last stop why?" "Well it's not back there now!!! What!!"</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Father and son had to retrace their route to look for the race car trailer that had come off the hitch....no harm or foul came of it...they had GREAT luck. They found the trailer a few miles back, it was upright all pristine sitting in the middle of a pasture, with a herd of curious black and white cows surrounding it! </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">See good times and great adventures. Harlan Sr will be missed!</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Laura </div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Aug 11, 2020 6:22 PM, JON WHITELEY via RMC-List <rmc-list@corvair.org> wrote:<br type="attribution" /><blockquote class="quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex">
