<p>I have a 2001 BMW 525i wagon with a manual transmission. It took
enough hail damage for State Farm to declare a total loss.<br>
If t isn't a golf ball but if one were to replace the hood, it
would look pretty good. The car is in road worthy condition. It
has had a recent brake job, ice cold A/C and a heater that will
run you out on the coldest days. The tires will get you through at
least the summer. The ABS module is brain dead so there is no ABS
or traction control. It leaks oil like only an old BMW can.<br>
State Farm says that the buyout is $1700 and it will have a normal
(non-salvage) title That is also my asking price. I would rather
see it go to someone that will drive it than for it to go to
auction only to end up with a crusher. This is a reliable, fun to
drive grocery getter. Someone please give her a good home. I would
like to make the decision with State Farm on Monday 7/31, so if
you are interested please don't delay. Give me a call, I will
happily tell you about the car and it's quirks. <br>
