<div dir="ltr"><div>Garrie,</div><div><br></div><div>So sorry to hear about this. It is crazy out there, I have found myself in the route of two high-speed chases in the past couple years, one into a construction zone at night where all I could do was honk a warning to the workers as the idiot approached at high speed. In both cases the police I could see in my rearview switched off the lights and disengaged. <div><br></div><div>People driving are paying so little attention, or consider the whole thing as important as a video game where they will just reset and keep going. They drive it like they stole it probably because often they did. </div><div><br></div><div>Glad to hear you are on the mend. I hope there are serious consequences for the other driver, but I have my doubts. </div><div><br></div><div>--Rob</div><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><b><font face="tahoma, sans-serif" size="4">Rob Brereton</font></b></div></div></div></div></div><br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Fri, Dec 8, 2023 at 5:56 PM Garrie Fox via RMC-List <<a href="mailto:rmc-list@corvair.org">rmc-list@corvair.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div><div style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:16px"><div dir="ltr">I purchased <span><span>Nielsen'</span></span>s BMW wagon they offered for sale since I waited months for a shop to weld up my Corvair engine head.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Last month it probably saved me from even more serious injury. </div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">I was stopped and waiting in the center turn lane just two blocks from home.
