[SCG] Trunk paint on '67's

A fellow VV'er and I have been privately discussing '67's, and the
subject of trunk paint came up. The question is this:

Was the correct spatter paint for '67 light gray base or dark "charcoal"
base?

FTR I'll have to double check, but all of mine (and all to my
recollection) have been the latter, while he states that all of his were
the former. Could it be that either is correct? And would date of build
have anything to do with it?
