[SCG] FW: <VV> '62 Spyder, factory/aftermarket performance options

the front anti sway bar and rear axle (control arm) limiting straps were
part of the 1962 heavy duty suspension package, which was availible on any
62 car except wagons..
heavy duty suspension  and the heavy duty metallic brake option were at
first mandatory options  (along with 4 speed, 3.55 axle, positraction and
seat belts) for spyders, but after a few weeks chevy decided to make all
that extra cost as they could then advertise a spyder for more attractive
price. most 62 spyders i have seen were ordered with all the stuff anyway,
despite being (later) options.
for 63 , the axle straps were eliminated from the hd suspension package.
if the leaf spring thing on that car bolts to the bottom 2 bellhousing/diff
bolts, it's an empi camber compensator. an amusing period device.
it is not the same, or does it work like the 64 transverse leaf spring.
