[SCG] '63 conv heater vent color?

I can't find my reference to the proper color for the heater vents (just in front of front seats) on my convertible.  Are they supposed to be grey or black?  

I vaguely remember there being a change in color made from '62 through '64.  Definitely the vent "style" was changed over those years.  My old/rusty/pitted vents were painted blue to match the interior and that's definitely not correct.
