[SCG] 1966 convertible top frame - correct black paint?

As far as I know, Frank is indeed correct. That same black paint was used on
the doors, steering column, and steering wheel for LM cars with black
interior paint schemes. The dash got zero gloss. Ditzler and DuPont created
different formulas for 60 gloss and 0 gloss while Rinshed-Mason specified
their full gloss paint and expected the painter to add flattener. There is a
bit more info here:

That would be a 60 degree gloss finish.

See:

I know this is a 1965 page, but it is the best I can find on the
internet. Note the 60 degree list includes folding top parts.

DL-9248 is the code for black. The local PPG dealer should have a
current formula based on this original number.

One can always buy full (100 degree) gloss paint and add flatening to it
to get a satin finish.

I used to use Sikkens Rally Black for the engine sheet metal. It would
probably work here also if it is still available.

turbo vert. It is black in color. Upon inspecting the majority of late
model black top frames at The Ranch, it appears there is a small amount of
gloss in the black paint. Are there any paint code numbers available for
this paint? Should I have it painted with a spray gun or are there any
spray paint brands available that will get the shade of black close to the
original?
