[SCG] Color charts

I've collected all the interior and exterior color charts that Clark's offers, and assembled them into three-ring binders. The vinyl, headliner, cardboard, and carpet sheets are on 11"x 17" sheets, so I cut them down to roughly 8 1/2" x 11" and put them in page-protector sleeves. They are bulky. The exterior colors come that size, and fit in the sleeves. I also have almost every factory paint chart brochure, and have included them for comparison.

What we ought to do is document what colors and patterns go in what years and models, and cross-reference this to what Clark's offers. Of course, what Clark's has available may change from time to time, but just to have that info might help people in purchasing the correct (or as close as possible) material for any restoration project.

I feel that the exterior paint color charts aren't much of a problem, but it's the interior parts, particularly the headliner pattern, that is in need of documenting. Even to get the correct carpet color is often problematic. For example, from personal experience I know that the correct green carpet for '69 just simply isn't available.

I'd love to bring these albums to the convention, but as I said, they are bulky, and I'm flying. So maybe we can at least start by getting some "personal experience" feedback from the list. I'll volunteer to start collecting the info in my albums and serve as the contact for any info gathered. Next year I'll be able to bring the albums to the convention.

This project meshes quite nicely with my paint and trim Excel spreadsheets, which I have available. Once the website can host them and I have the time, I'll post the charts.
